Think Hire Rated Excellent By Considerate Constructors Scheme

14 Dec, 2023

Think Hire are pleased to report the results of our recent audit by the nationally recognised and respected Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS), in which the company was judged to be excellent in all categories.

Raising standards

The CCS works with construction companies, contractors and suppliers such as Think Hire. Their aim is to help support the construction industry to raise its standards in being a considerate constructor and build trust with the public.

As part of the CCS monitoring process, companies are rated in three areas of their business:

  • Respect for the community
  • Care for the environment
  • Valuing their workforce

Each section is given a score out of 15, with a total report score given out of 45. A company that simply conforms to the code of practice will score 9/15 in each section, or 27/45 overall, while an overall score of 39/45 or above  is considered excellent.

Think Hire scored 13/15 for both respecting their community and valuing their workforce, and we received full marks – 15/15 – for caring for the environment. This gave us an overall score of 41/45 – excellent across the board and excellent overall.

Think Hire thinking about the future

The CCS Monitor visited Think Hire and spent time with Think Hire’s Head of Technical and Innovation, Peter McCulloch. The visit report noted that:

“As a new business it is excellent to note ISO accreditations have been achieved for the three standards: 9001 (Quality Management), 14001 (Environmental Management) and 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).”

The company impressed the CCS with our future plans too. As well as helping countless companies to reduce their own carbon emissions, we also have very clear targets for our own carbon reduction:

“They are currently establishing baseline data to work towards achieving Net Zero.”

The report also noted the contribution Think Hire are making to the fight against climate change, noting:

“The company mission to deliver and develop products which adopt a more environmentally sympathetic approach to reduce CO2 are fully instilled into the values and environmental objectives for the business.”

An excellent result

This report shows the dedication of everyone at Think Hire to provide our industry leading renewable energy technologies in a considerate and caring way. We are pleased with the results, but we know that there is still more we can do.

We will be pressing ahead with our own net-zero goals as we continue to help companies up and down the country to work towards theirs.
