Solar Skyframe Takes Solar Powered Generators to New Heights

In a recent blog, we discussed how Think Hire’s innovative Solartainer can bring the benefits of clean, green solar power to almost any site, anywhere. From temporary road and rail repairs, to rolling construction sites that are constantly evolving as the development progresses, the Solartainer provides a flexible and portable solar powered generator solution.

But what if your site needs a little more power than your Solartainer can produce, but you don’t have the space for a larger Solartainer, or a second linked unit? The answer is the Solar Skyframe.

Roof mounted solar powered generators

The Solar Skyframe is the latest clean energy innovation from the industry leading design team here at Think Hire. It delivers the ultimate in flexible renewable energy generation that can be deployed directly onto the cabin roofs of your site offices, welfare units and staff canteens.

It’s available in three sizes – 20ft, 24ft and 32ft – each fitted directly to the cabin roof using twist locks. This effectively converts the roof of any site building into a solar powered generator, producing power from every square meter available. The three panel sizes produce 3kW, 3.5kW and 5kW of additional energy respectively, supplementing the energy provided by your existing solar powered generator.

Extra energy when it counts

The energy produced by your Solar Skyframe feeds directly into your solar / hybrid system to further reduce the need for generator run time, particularly during peak periods. This not only reduces emissions, but significantly cuts your fuel consumption and site operating costs.

Any excess energy produced by the Solar Skyframe is stored for later use in the built-in batteries, avoiding the need to run noisy diesel generators overnight.

Simple to install and operate

The Solar Skyframe has been designed for quick and easy installation on cabin roofs, and equally simple operation from ground level. The height and angle of the panels can be adjusted remotely, to ensure that you harvest the maximum solar energy as the sun moves across the sky.

Just like multiple Solartainers, individual Solar Skyframe solar powered generators on different cabins can be linked to increase the energy generated. What’s more, they can be integrated into your Panorama energy management system, giving you complete control from your smartphone or tablet.

Part of your complete renewable energy system

The Solar Skyframe portable solar powered generators are just one of the ways that Think Hire can help you to cut costs, reduce emissions and work towards your net zero goals. Our team will work with you to design and deliver exactly the system you need. In an increasingly electrified world, we can help you to charge everything from electric vehicles and plant to individual phones and tools. We can light up your site with powerful solar powered site lighting, and we can even provide environmentally friendly site accommodation, designed to operate as efficiently and effectively as possible.

More importantly, we can provide all the equipment and data you need to manage your energy use. Think Hire can provide a full range of distribution boards, battery storage units and energy management software to help you get the most from your solar powered generators, including your Solar Skyframe units.

A solution for all sites

From stand alone solar powered lights to integrated hybrid solar powered generators, from the rooftop power of Solar Skyframes to the portable power packs of the SiteGrid X3, Think Hire has a sustainable energy solution for any size of site, in almost any circumstances, anywhere in the UK.
